In this era of globalisation, there are many graduates from the universities from various fields of knowledge around the world. Most of them were studying several professional fields such as law, medicine, and engineering. In addition, they were not only received their degree's scrolls but they also graduated with either First Class or Second Class Honours. From my point of view, the excellent academic achievement would guarantee a successful life.
First and foremost, the academic excellence is very worthy because nowadays, the people seem to look forward to recognising the credibility of a person if he or she has an excellent academic achievement. In simpler words, the educated person mostly is trusted by the community to be the source of reference in certain fields. For example, we can find out the current issues in detail from the legal aspect from the lawyers or legal academicians who have broad knowledge in the legal field. Thus, the persons with excellent academic achievement are more trusted by the people.
Moreover, they also would have lots of opportunities to be offered scholarship or grants. It is because the scholarship providers mostly look forward to these particular people as most of them tend to pursue postgraduate studies right after graduated. For example, the Chevening Scholarship is offered to the exceptional graduates to pursue Master's degree at the universities in the United Kingdom. Hence, academic excellence provides the opportunity for the graduates to be granted scholarship to pursue postgraduate studies.
